guitar pedal

My second and possibly last guitar pedal enclosure. (first one here) The subject matter was by request, not my first choice for a theme, but I try to be flexible. Sometimes a suggested theme can shake me out of set patterns of thinking. Other times, well....

So the request was to include an owl and a tesla coil.

I have to use pretty toxic enamel paint that even makes me feel dizzy when I'm outside (and painting outdoors isn't always possible due to weather). Unless I can find a paint that can adhere to metal that is not so noxious (along with other considerations that I can't really go into here) I doubt I will continue with it. Oh, well.

On to other projects.

Custom Painted Guitar Pedal complete

enamel paint on metal

edit 7/10/14- Please note I painted a couple of guitar pedals as an experiment (including this one) and to accommodate a special request several years back.
Due to the high toxicity of the enamel and the high level wear and tear the pedal gets by nature, I choose not to do this sort of work anymore.  I cannot ensure the images will remain intact after years of heavy use. There will be updates soon on a new gallery where current work will be displayed.

Custom Painted Guitar Pedal in progress

Guitar pedal front in progress (as of 11/10/11) more details in the trees and the dials have to be assembled. I had started this over 3 times. Third was the charm. It's not done yet but I'm finally happy with where it is going.
